Jim Malcolm - 11th solo release from nationally acclaimed velvet-voiced Scots singer/songwriter, former front man for Old Blind Dogs, comprising all trad material save one music hall era humorous lament and his own Forth Bridge Song composed in honor of the 100th birthday of the Forth Bridge in 1990; additional musical support is provided by Pete Clark on fiddle, Mark Duff (Capercaillie) on bodhran and whistle, Dave Watts on keyboards, American banjoist Scooter Muse, and harmony vocals from Jim's wife Susie all synchronised in one accord;

Dave Van Ronk (1936-2002) - a well annotated booklet accompanies this 3CD set of recordings ranging from the late 1950s through 2001 of the "Mayor of MacDougal Street" legendary Greenwich Village resident and musician whose repertoire encompasses blues, jazz, American folk, Dylan and his own compositions, and who influenced numerous musicians along the way who went on to achieve the success and recognition that eluded him. The Coen Brothers latest movie Inside Llewyn Davis is loosely based on his recollections of his life in the Village in the early 60s;

Burning Bridget Cleary - a 2011 release from this wonderfully dexterous and melodic award winnning Pennsylvania-based quartet, currently 2013 nominees in the "Top Traditional Group in a Pub, Festival or Concert" category in the Irish Music association's annual awards, who began life as a father/daughter duo of Lou and Rose Baldino who borrowed Rose's friend Genevieve at short notice to fill a gap at a festival when the featured performers were unable to make it... featuring traditional/contemporary and excellent original compositions and superb harmony vocals

The Cantrells - making their Little Rock Folk Club debut Jan 4th 2014, Nashville-based NPR favorites Al and Emily Cantrell bring their acoustic folk, blue grass and old-time music, with detours into Celtic and Western Swing, featuring soaring vocals, guitar, mandolin and fiddle;

Harpeth Rising - having had last Saturday's concert with Little Rock Folk Club postponed due to the arrival of sleet and freezing rain, which blanketed the state and brought all but essential travel to slow motion, LRFC is delighted to resume business as usual this Fri Dec 13th with their final concert of the year with the excellent Harpeth Rising touring in support of their latest CD Tales From Jackson Bridge on which the band solidify their well established musical base of Celto-classical, nu-grass/blue-grass, Americana and add a touch of blues, Latin, Texas Swing and Gypsy Jazz;
